Some of the other places to visit on the Net.
We don't know who started the tradition, but it seems mandatory that every website have a page of links to other sites. Personally, we think this one of the greatest things about the Internet: a link in a page connects you to another page that expands on what was already being discussed. "I love how links can be set up so that you can stimulate the thought process of the user," comments Gayla. "It's more like your natural train of thought as one idea connects to another, and so on."

For your surfing pleasure, we present our current favorite sites, as well as links to coffee and tea, food and wine, and travel. Do you think your resource belongs on these pages? Submit your request using the response form and someone will get back to you.

Some of Our Favorite Sites

La Torcaza Estate
www.estatecafe.com

The four Janson brothers who produce La Torcaza Estate are fortunate to grow coffee in an area with ideal conditions for producing an estate coffee; the farm's altitude, relatively flat acreage, and proximity to rich, volcanic soil are well suited for growing the best Arabica beans. Moore Coffee & Tea is proud to exclusively carry beans from La Torcaza Estate.
NewGuineaTraders
www.newguineatraders.com

Originally established by Aarlie and Larry Hull for the purpose of helping indigenous Papua New Guineans realize a greater return on their labors and a more equitable profit from the magnificent natural resources of their country. Their coffee line has expanded to include an environmentally friendly coffee from El Salvador. Specifically, New Guinea Traders, LLC. represents Highlands Arabicas, a business operated by Paul Pora who is an indigenous clansman and trusted tribal leader. Paul's expertise in coffee cultivation and processing stems from his advanced educational degrees in coffee cultivation and his experience in many aspects of the coffee industry.

The Old Creek Ranch Winery http://www.oldcreekranch.com is owned and managed by John and Carmel Whitman. Carmel is the daughter of Mike and Carmel Maitland, the original founders of the winery in 1981. Chuck Branham, also one of the original founders, remains in charge of winemaking.

During the 21 years of the Winery's operation there have been many years of award winning wines produced. The Winery has been a contributor to the economy and a visitor site of the Ojai Valley since 1981. Visit the Tours and Tastings page for more information about scheduled tours and tastings.

Special biking excursions to the Winery are a great way to see the Winery. Visit the Trails By Potter web site for more information on booking a biking excursion.
